Making Business Personal: Driving Customer Engagement with Facebook

Since its creation in 2004, Facebook has connected nearly a billion people and has revolutionized the way people and organizations interact with each other. Every day more than 500 million people are logging into Facebook and sharing the stories of their lives. Not only are people interacting with friends and family; they're interacting with the businesses they care about, both big and small.

On Facebook, businesses aiming to reach consumers in all parts of the purchase funnel – whether their advertising efforts are about pure branding, demand generation, or direct marketing – can find solutions. Over the recent months,we've launched a number of products that make it easier for marketers to reach the right people at the right time: sponsored stories on mobile; the ability to buy sponsored stories on mobile separately from desktop; and Facebook Exchange. These solutions focus on building out our direct marketing offerings. What makes them unique is that they sit on top of the Facebook platform, which offers businesses of all sizes the chance to do true branding online. Businesses can not only drive desired consumer actions such as app installs, clicks to their website, and sales, but they can also form and foster long-lasting relationships with their customers. It's this combination of direct marketing and branding that has never existed before online.
